Dog Artists painted this dog in uniform portrait for an ad campaign for Go Compare Pet insurance. Rip is a mixed Terrier who saved over 100 people during the Blitz. Rip even won a medal for his acts of bravery in 1945.
Rip would help the air raid warden and his team sniff out people who were trapped under the debris. What an amazing dog! His medal sold at auction for £24,250 in 2009. He is buried at the Ilford animal cemetery in Essex.
All of our dogs portraits are expertly painted using Winsor & Newton oils. Once completed we will email you a high-resolution photograph of your dog’s portrait for your approval. If you would like slight amendments made, please just let us know, we want you to be thrilled with your dog in uniform portrait. When the oils have sufficiently dried we can then deliver your painting to you. The whole process should take between 4 – 6 weeks. For more information please email: hello@dogartists.co.uk
